Tuition & Support
A Waldorf education is an investment in your child’s unfolding humanity – in curiosity, creativity, and the courage to meet the world with purpose.
At Vancouver Waldorf School, tuition sustains the heart of our work: exceptional teachers, rich programs, and the artistry of daily learning. As a not-for-profit independent school, every dollar of tuition directly supports the people and programs that bring Waldorf education to life – from faculty salaries and classroom resources to the care of our learning spaces and grounds.
We are committed to financial transparency and to supporting families for whom Waldorf education feels like a calling.

Tuition Adjustment Program
Choosing independent education is both a philosophical and financial decision. Our Tuition Adjustment Program (TAP) exists to ensure that economic circumstances do not prevent a child from receiving a Waldorf education.
As described in our Tuition Adjustment Program Policy, the program balances the financial health of the school with a deep commitment to diversity, inclusion, and fairness. Tuition adjustment is a confidential process guided by integrity, compassion, and accountability.
- Tuition adjustment is available for our Kindergarten through Grade 8 programs.
- Preschool, Parent & Tot, Aftercare, Activity & Supplies, and Transportation fees are not eligible.
- For the 2026–27 school year, minimum payable amount ($6,000) and the maximum family gross income to be eligible for TA ( $200,000).
- Accounts must be in good standing.
If your family circumstances fall outside these guidelines, please reach out to TA@vws.ca to discuss your eligibility.
- First-time TAP applicants: Apply after submitting your application for enrolment or re-enrolment
- Families who have previously received TAP: Apply by February 28, 2026
We recommend starting the process early to allow time for review and follow-up. Applications received after this date may not be reviewed.
- Fair and equitable process based on financial need
- Confidentiality and respect for each family’s situation
- Shared responsibility for the school’s financial wellbeing
- Annual review and renewal of applications
How to Apply for Tuition Adjustment
Each family applies annually through Apple Financial Services, an independent third-party reviewer, in combination with a Tuition Adjustment Family Information Form.
A Shared Commitment
Waldorf education depends on mutual commitment – families, faculty, and the school each doing their part.
Through tuition and tuition adjustment, we sustain a community where children learn in beauty, truth, and freedom.
