Tuition & Support

A Waldorf education is an investment in your child’s unfolding humanity – in curiosity, creativity, and the courage to meet the world with purpose.

At Vancouver Waldorf School, tuition sustains the heart of our work: exceptional teachers, rich programs, and the artistry of daily learning. As a not-for-profit independent school, every dollar of tuition directly supports the people and programs that bring Waldorf education to life – from faculty salaries and classroom resources to the care of our learning spaces and grounds.

We are committed to financial transparency and to supporting families for whom Waldorf education feels like a calling.

Affordability & Accessibility

Tuition Adjustment Program

Choosing independent education is both a philosophical and financial decision. Our Tuition Adjustment Program (TAP) exists to ensure that economic circumstances do not prevent a child from receiving a Waldorf education.

As described in our Tuition Adjustment Program Policy, the program balances the financial health of the school with a deep commitment to diversity, inclusion, and fairness. Tuition adjustment is a confidential process guided by integrity, compassion, and accountability.

How to Apply for Tuition Adjustment

Each family applies annually through Apple Financial Services, an independent third-party reviewer, in combination with a Tuition Adjustment Family Information Form.

1 – Apply Online

Visit Apple Financial Services to create a Parent Account and complete the six-part application. Upload tax returns and supporting documentation.
Application fee: $130 (first parent) | +$50 for second parent.

Step 2 – Family Information Form

Download and complete the Tuition Adjustment Family Information Form. Submit by email to TA@vws.ca or deliver it in a sealed envelope marked Confidential to the Finance Manager.

Step 3 – Review & Decision

Apple Financial provides an independent analysis to the VWS Tuition Adjustment Committee, which considers each application in light of the school’s annual budget.
Decisions are typically communicated in March.

Step 4 – Payment Schedule

Adjusted tuition is paid over 12 months, from May to April. Families awaiting finalized adjustments continue payments at the previous year’s rate until reconciled.

Through the Tuition Adjustment Program, Vancouver Waldorf School reaffirms its commitment to accessibility and inclusion within the independent school community.

A Shared Commitment

Waldorf education depends on mutual commitment – families, faculty, and the school each doing their part.

Through tuition and tuition adjustment, we sustain a community where children learn in beauty, truth, and freedom.
