Unplug this Summer

Our camps give children the structure to feel grounded and the freedom to surprise themselves. Somewhere between the woodshop and the creek, children discover what they are capable of. Summer is a time for trying new things, building with their own hands, and making new friendships for life.

Our camps are guided by experienced Waldorf teachers who bring structure, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning to each session. We create an environment where children can take creative risks, build real confidence, and have the kind of summer that sticks with them. Whether your family is new to VWS or has been here for years, there’s a place for your child here this summer.

How to Register

Common Questions

What does a typical day look like?2026-03-02T19:08:21-08:00

Each day follows a structured rhythm balancing guided activities with free play. Campers spend most of their time outdoors, with sessions in the woodworking studio, craft room, and other indoor spaces as needed. Activities adapt to the energy and weather of the group.

What should my child bring?2026-03-02T19:06:40-08:00

A backpack with a healthy nut-free lunch and water bottle, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, long sleeves), a change of clothes, sturdy walking shoes, water shoes, and rain gear. Nutritious snacks are provided. A complete packing list will be sent before camp begins.

What is the cancellation policy?2026-03-02T19:15:16-08:00

Cancellations made at least 7 days before the session start date receive a full refund minus a $75 administration fee. Session changes can also be made at no cost with 7 days’ notice, subject to availability. No refunds are issued for cancellations within 7 days of the session, and there are no make-up sessions.

Are electronics allowed?2026-03-02T19:11:08-08:00

We kindly ask families to keep electronics at home. VWS Summer Camps are tech-free, and this time for children to unplug is central to the Waldorf experience. Camp leaders carry cell phones for emergencies and parent contact.

Do you offer extended care?2026-03-02T22:23:53-08:00

No, before and aftercare are not available. Please ensure timely pick-up, as late fees may apply.

My child needs additional support – can they still attend?2026-03-02T19:13:04-08:00

VWS welcomes all campers. If your child requires one-on-one support, families are asked to arrange an Educational Assistant or caregiver, as camp leaders are unable to provide individualized support. Please reach out to us before registering so we can ensure the best possible experience.
