High School

Our High School provides a rigorous curriculum grounded in the classics and engaged in the modern world. Our students are active learners and flexible thinkers with the confidence and creativity to face the challenges of our world.

Grade School

Setting the stage for a love of learning, our Grade School offers much more than the memorization of formulas and facts. In addition to the three “R’s,” students’ imaginations are engaged through music, art, drama, movement, and crafts.

Early Childhood

Our Early Childhood programs are devoted to preserving the joy, wonder and imagination of the young child from birth through to grade school readiness. Children play, learn, and grow in nurturing and inspiring spaces both indoors and out.

Vancouver Waldorf School provides an experiential, age-appropriate approach to education.

We support the development of the whole child with a curriculum that integrates academics, movement and the arts.

Land & Place

Vancouver Waldorf School respectfully acknowledges that our campuses are situated on the unceded ancestral territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Nestled in the communities of Lynn Valley and Edgemont Village on the North Shore, our campuses boast easy access to beaches, forests and mountains, and serve families from across Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

The VWS Culture

Vibrant and Thriving

Our school community connects students to nature, fosters supportive, enduring relationships between staff and families, and ignites and celebrates a passion for lifelong learning.

Celebrations

The festival life is woven into the fabric of a Waldorf school. Families enjoy building community through the school-wide festivals, programs and cultural activities enjoyed throughout the year.

Ethos of Generosity

Whether it’s financial or gifts of time, at the heart of our community is generosity that helps the school flourish and continue to grow into something we can all be proud to be part of.
