Join Ella on Sunday, June 4th, 10 am-2 pm for an Indigo Dye Gathering at the Vancouver Waldorf School Grade School Campus. This a workshop for adults only.
(Be in touch if you’d like to arrange a private event to include your children or other summer celebrations and socials.)

We will meet in the music room, where we will see samples and learn about various Shibori techniques & tools and mix up an indigo vat together. Then we’ll spread out to each tie up our organic cotton shawls before setting up outside and getting our hands in the vat. Gloves provided. Everyone will pitch in with clean up, and you will have the start-to-finish “know how” to do your own future home vats.

Limited extra blanks will be available if you want to make more than 1 shawl. If you know in advance, you can reserve extras.

$65 includes all tools and materials to dye an organic cotton shawl (approx 42”X90”).

*anyone attending who has previously attended an indigo dye workshop with Ella may bring their freshly laundered shawl to overdye and deepen the blue with our exhaust vats. Please notify me if you are bringing one.
