Parents, faculty members, students, and friends of the VWS, you are warmly invited to attend an “Open Mic Night” hosted by Grade 8 students, as part of their community outreach project. The event will take place on April 22 at our school.

We would like to celebrate music and poetry with you, and provide an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to share their love for music. The event starts at 6:30 pm, with doors opening at that time. The first musical sharing starts at 7:00 pm, featuring performances from students in grades 4-7. An intermission will take place around 8:00 pm, where snacks and beverages prepared by Grade 12 will be available for purchase.

The second musical sharing will begin at 8:30 pm and will feature performances from students in grades 8 to adults. To participate, simply sign up on the bulletin board in reception. If you are unable to sign up in person, please email your name, the number of songs, and a preferred time range that would work for you to rchrimes@vws.ca.

There is a two-dollar cover donation (or what you can afford), and all proceeds will go towards supporting the Grade 12 trip to Scotland.
