Nestled in the forests and mountains of the North Shore, our school is part of an international movement devoted to educating the head, heart, and hands. Families join us seeking a slower, more intentional pace of childhood – one that honours imagination, fosters intellectual confidence, and builds emotional resilience within a warm, inclusive community, while preparing for the academic rigours of high school and beyond.

Key dates for 2027-28 school year admissions

  • October 3, 2026 · admissions open
  • January 10, 2027 · priority application deadline
  • January 22, 2027 · intake interviews complete (scheduled on a rolling basis until then)
  • February 1, 2027 · priority applicants receive a response
  • February to June 2027 · applications received after January 10 are reviewed on a rolling basis as space allows

Deer Fern Daycare accepts applications year-round, with no priority window.

Visiting the school

The best way to understand Waldorf education is to experience it.

Walk through our classrooms, meet teachers, and sense the calm rhythm that underlies each day. Our scheduled admissions events, designed for adults to listen, observe, and ask questions, have concluded for the school year; however, we still want to meet you. Tuition and affordability

We believe that families who value Waldorf education should have access to it.

As a not-for-profit independent school, tuition sustains our teachers, programs, and the arts that infuse learning each day. The Tuition Adjustment Program provides reduced tuition based on demonstrated financial need.
